This is my favorite breakfast place in Edmonton. My boyfriend and I love going here for a nice Sunday brunch. Its never too busy, and the food is great. I'm a self proclaimed eggs bendict connoisseur, and this place definately has some of the best eggs benny Ive tasted.

Breakfast is great here! Love the Mushroom and Brie eggs benny!! Mmm..they have great hash browns too. Cute atmosphere, with the big tree in middle of restaurant which makes for a sunshine outdoor feeling while inside. They also have a patio with great people watching. Artisan cafe is also a bakery, so after breakfast pick up some of their fresh breads or deserts. Breakfast is all day...so don't worry....sleep in a little.

There are three important words I require any establishment serving baked goods and all-day breakfasts to be worth of: really excellent coffee. Artisan Resto-Cafe has superb coffee and more. Expanded from basically a glorified baker, Artisan offers eggs, Belgian waffles, light breakfasts, sandwiches, and a few burgers and larger meals.
The food is extremely fresh - I had a vegetarian omelette and the eggs were fluffy and did not have that oily off-taste that some of the chain breakfast places have. Their signature grilled potatoes are a bit dry, but have an interesting flavour. My friend had an eggs benedict special - the poached eggs were served on turkey, of all things.
To finish my meal, I had the bread pudding, which was shaped like a large muffin and served warm with steamed milk. I would come here just for the coffee and that, or perhaps the sticky cinnamon pecan bun, or one of the other mouth-watering desserts. The place has a very artistic feel to it and is relaxed. It gets very busy here on weekends.
